<p>We&#8217;re huge fans of ruffles (just check out our outfits on our most recent episode &#8211; ha ha!), so we devoted a whole episode to them! Ruffles are a pretty and feminine way to personalize just about any item, and they aren&#8217;t too tricky to make once you know&#8230; the trick. Watch the episode now on My Craft Channel: <a href="http://www.mycraftchannel.com/Shows/Get-a-Little-Creative/?omedia_id=672">Get a Little Creative Ruffle Episode.</a></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-126" title="anthroruffleshirt" src="http://getalittlecreative.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/anthroruffleshirt-384x590.jpg" alt="anthro ruffle shirt" width="384" height="590" /></p>
<p>Jen wore a ruffle shirt she made that was inspired by one she saw at Anthropologie, and she made it with an inexpensive tee and a dollar store flour sack towel! Click here for the <a href="http://tatertotsandjello.com/2010/08/4-tee-1-dollar-store-towel-fabulous.html">Ruffle Shirt Tutorial</a>!</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-129" title="ruffle-necklace" src="http://getalittlecreative.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/ruffle-necklace-590x299.jpg" alt="ruffle necklace" width="590" height="299" /></p>
<p>Jen also modeled a ruffle necklace she made. She has another great tutorial for <a href="http://tatertotsandjello.com/2010/08/4-tee-1-dollar-store-towel-fabulous.html">Ruffle Necklaces</a> on her blog. Check out how pretty she is:</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-130" title="jen-ruffle-necklace" src="http://getalittlecreative.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/jen-ruffle-necklace.jpg" alt="ruffle necklace" width="386" height="576" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-127" title="ruffle-fabric" src="http://getalittlecreative.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/ruffle-fabric-590x299.jpg" alt="ruffle fabric" width="590" height="299" /></p>
<p>For the demo, Jen shared this amazing pre-ruffled fabric with us and two very simple, yet beautiful ideas for using the fabric.</p>
<p>You can find this awesome pre-ruffled fabric at <a href="http://www.rufflefabric.com/">RuffleFabric.com</a>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-128" title="ruffle-lampshade" src="http://getalittlecreative.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/ruffle-lampshade-590x299.jpg" alt="ruffle lampshade" width="590" height="299" /></p>
<p>One of Jen&#8217;s great ideas was to cover a simple lampshade with a rectangle of ruffle fabric &#8211; all she did was hot glue it on, and look how pretty it is!</p>
<p>You&#8217;ll just have to <a href="http://www.mycraftchannel.com/Shows/Get-a-Little-Creative/?omedia_id=672">watch this episode</a> to see what her other idea was! Hint: there was some burlap in there somewhere!</p>

<p>Today&#8217;s episode of Get a Little Creative is one of my favorites! We talked about Roadkill Rescues, which is Beckie&#8217;s term for reclaimed old furniture that she transforms into something new. She created an adorable project for this show &#8211; she turned an old drawer into a beautiful little storage case for craft supplies. I want to rush out and make one of these as soon as I am done typing!</p>
<p>To see how easy it is to make this project, check out <a href="http://www.mycraftchannel.com/Shows/Get-a-Little-Creative/?omedia_id=631">Episode 11 of Get a Little Creative</a> at My Craft Channel.</p>

<p>I wish you could have seen how cool these globes are in person (video just doesn&#8217;t do them justice!) I always see globes at the thrift store, and this is the perfect project to make them truly unique!</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Our most recent episode of <em>Get a Little Creative</em> featured the very talented Meg from <a href="http://brassyapple.com">Brassy Apple</a>. She shared some of her refashion projects, and then showed us how to make a quick and easy no-sew t-shirt shrug. It was so fun to meet Meg in person &#8211; she is one of the most innovative crafters around. And of course, I love that she uses dollar store materials often in her designs!</p>
